• To build the Kingdom of God nationally and internationally by training and sending believers to the nations by planting new churches and supporting new churches.
• Reaching out to the underprivileged and winning souls (touching people socially and spiritually)

Mission Statement

Gateway Church - Mount Edgecombe’s mission is according to that given by our Lord Jesus as his most important instruction found in:

• Matthew 28:18-20 -- Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
• and again as His final instruction in Acts 1:8 -- "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
